Unnecessary errors and restrictions in software
Not to point fingers (you can tell which application this is from the picture) but what a silly error message to get in the 21st century. Surely I don't have to modify my file system to keep the program happy (and what if I didn't have permission to change the names?).
The lesson here is that a filename is not a unique identifier, and this should be obvious.
Which made me think, are there any other error messages that shouldn't exist that you've seen in modern software?
