Plus Music Fixer: Global Edition

As promised: here is a new version of Plus Music Fixer which should resolve the issue of not working on phones containing files or folders in a non-US alphabet. Sorry about that.

I have also inserted the version number into the display and the error log (now that there will be multiple versions 'in the wild').

Note that if you want to take the next step in translating it, email me and I'll be excited to send you a list of strings and you'll see the result here.

  1. Cool - it seems to work fine now. Thanks!

Now we only need that the player supports international letters. It can play the songs, but shows the name in a funny way.

If I use the filemanager and look at the file names, it shows them correctly, but when the player reads the info inside the files, it fails to do it correctly.

Does Nokia have some where you can report thses bugs?

  2. Don't know where there's a Nokia bug reporting system -- you could fish around Forum Nokia (their developer site).

There are a few limitations on the built-in Music player in different phones (for example the E-Series doesn't show metadata at all for iTunes files). I'm trying to work on that for my own use, but that's a bit further off.
